芶吉华教授现任美国中佛罗里达大学 (University of

Central Florida) 机械与航空工程系研究生部主任(Graduate

Program Director)、复合材料与结构研究室主任。他主要从事复合材料的多功能化、轻量化,纳米复合材料以及复合材料3D打印技术等研究工作,是美国SegAna公司的创始人之一。他先后主持了30多项研究项目,发表了100多篇学术期刊论文和130多篇国际会议论文。

讲座内容简介:

This seminar will give an overview on 3D printing techniques, such as fused

deposition modeling (FDM), ink-jet printing, electrohydrodynamic (EHD)-jet printing,

direct write system, and selective laser sintering (SLS). The similarities and differences of these 3D printing techniques are compared.  Case studies of different composite materials

that can be printed by these 3D printing techniques are presented.  Material structures, properties and

performance of 3D-printed composite materials are characterized and evaluated.

The unresolved issues and future directions of this emerging

technology are discussed.
