Analysis and Test Center

Analysis and Testing Center was established in 1991. It is equipped with sophisticated and analytical instruments to provide teaching and research services for the University. There are currently field-emission transmission electron microscopy analysis and test platforms and environmental scanning electron microscope(with energy dispersive spectroscopy and other accessories), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis, optical microscopy and image processing systems and several imported analytical instruments. In addition, dozens of other related sample preparation and analysis equipment is accessible, which is an advanced and interdisciplinary test platform integrated to collect sample preparation, detection and analysis. Its area takes up about 900 square meters, and fixed assets is about RMB 30 million. The current staff have senior professional and technical positions,including 1 professor, 3 associate professors , 4 senior engineers, a New Century Talent of Ministry of Education, an excellent expert with outstanding contribution in Sichuan Province and an academic and technical candidate of Sichuan Province, involved in machinery, materials, biomedical engineering, geology, physics, chemistry, precision instruments and testing technology, electronics and other disciplines, engaged in analysis and testing for many years. Analysis and Testing Center can be widely used in the field of teaching and research of metal, semiconductor materials, polymers, ceramics, nano-materials, chemicals, environment, biology, geology, physics.It provides high-quality technical consulting and services for the majority of students and enterprises.

Equipment and Function

Field emission transmission electron microscopy analysis and test platform

Platform has a JEM-2100F field emission transmission electron microscope (Japan JEOL), TenuPol-5 double jet electrolytic analyzer (Denmark STRUERS), EM RES101 ion milling instrument (Germany LEICA), EM UC7/FC7 frozen ultra-thin sectioning instrument (Germany LEICA) , EM CPD300 critical point drying apparatus (Germany LEICA), Model656 pits precision instrument (USA GATAN), which are international most advanced equipment. Major features as follows:

1. Microstructure analysis of the material in tissue, morphology and scale etc. 2. Analysis of material crystal structure, defection and orientation relationship. 3. Analysis of the composition and distribution of the material micro chemical elements. 4. Preparation technology of a cross-section and thin area in the internal area of material.

Organic analysis test platform

Platform has a Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, UV-Visible Spectrophotometerhigh performance liquid device, fluorescence spectrometer. Major features as follows:

1. Structural characterization and properties of high polymers. 2. Quantitative analysis and the platform are widely used for the determination of various materials of organic substance with trace, ultra trace and constant. 3. Qualitative or quantitative analysis of organic compounds and the molecular weight, the molecular weight distribution etc.

Inorganic analysis test platform

Platform has X-ray diffract meter. Major features as follows:

1. Qualitative analysis of a mixture of phases. 2. Quantitative analysis of the crystal phase. 3. Characterization of crystalline materials microstructure (precision measurement of cell parameters, the grain size and the micro stress). 4. Analysis in phase composition of micro-cell and thin film.

Microstructure analysis test platform

Platform has environmental scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscope and other equipment. Major features as follows:

1. Microstructure analysis of metals, ceramics, semiconductors, plastics, agricultural and cells. 2. Cooperating with EDS spectrometer, various elements can be qualitative and semi-quantitative microanalysis.

Physical property analysis test platform

Platform has a differential scanning calorimeter, laser particle size analyzer, Zeta potential and other equipment. Major features as follows:

1. Research of thermal properties, phase transition, crystallization kinetics based on organic, inorganic, polymeric materials, metal materials, semiconductor materials, drugs and biological materials. 2. Measuring the size of nano-particles, and particle size distribution and the analysis the electrical potential.

Big Life Analysis

Test Platform

Platform has a freeze dryer, spray dryer, LEICA optical microscope, micro-plate reader. Major features as follows:

1. The lyophilisate research of biological extract such as bacteria, virus, plasma, serum, antibodies, vaccines and drugs, microorganisms and yeast. 2. Photomicrograph of a variety of slide specimens. 3. Determination and analysis of various blood cells, antibodies, immune proteins.
